Planning is well under way for the 2009 Australian Schools Calendar.

In 2009 the wall calendar will be double sided again with January to June featuring an Indigenous theme and July to December an Astronomy theme.

Bullying in Aust schools among worst in world: survey

A survey of schools in 36 countries has found that bullying in Australian primary schools is in the worst category in the world.

More than 25 per cent of Australian year four students said they had suffered bullying, according to the Trends In International Mathematics And Science Study.

Government more than doubles cash for school computers

The Federal Government will boost funding for its computers in schools program after complaints from the states and territories that the scheme was under-funded.

The states told the Federal Government its original funding of $1,000 per computer would not cover installation, maintenance and upgrade costs.
