Brief History since leaving school

I left school after Grade 10 (1975) and did an apprenticeship as a Baker with Percy & Beryl Smith's Bakery in Victoria Street. I stayed there until April 1983 until I left to join the Police Academy in Brisbane. After being sworn in as a Police Officer I served briefly in Brisbane (2 mths) before being transferred to Cairns in December 1983. I stayed in Cairns until I was transferred to Townsville in December 1984. I got married in 1988 and I have two boys born in 1992 and 1995. In 1999 I started a Law Degree at the James Cook University (Townsville) and finished the degree at the end of 2002. After 20 years of service as a police officer I resigned from the Police Force in October 2003. I then started practising law as a Barrister in Townsville.
