A reunion to celebrate 40 years since the HSC in 1970, 42 years since the School Certificate in 1968 and 45 years since we started at the school in 1965 is being organised for 2010. Tentative date for the reunion is Saturday 25 September 2010. There are 162 names on the mailing list but we still have 40 plus former students to find from our year.
Anyone from 1969 or 1970 Year 12 at Katoomba High School make contact with Leigh, Vaughan, Arthur, Tom, JD, Moyra, Judy or Kerry. We'll tell you all about the 40th Reunion being organised for April 2010.
FEDERAL Education Minister Julia Gillard may give some ground to principals on the new schools reporting system, amid fears it could result in league tables that name and shame underperforming schools.

A 30 Year Reunion has been arranged for the HSC Class of '79. Students who left prior to undertaking Year 12 in ‘79 (but from the same cohort) and students who repeated Year 12 in 1980, are also invited to attend.
Date: Saturday 7th November, 2009
Time: 7.00pm - 1.00am
Cost: $25.00 per person paid in advance via EFT (includes entry + finger food; drinks extra at bar prices).
Most of those who did Year 12 in ’79 have confirmed they will be attending. Students who left prior to Year 12 have been the hardest to chase down. So if you are one, or know someone who is, please join us its gonna be awesome! Hope to see you all there…
