The Canberra College’s scheduled Parent Teacher Evening for Term 1 will be held at the Woden Campus. Please note that
disabled access is available.

Parents and carers are encouraged to attend this evening and take the opportunity to speak with all teachers to exchange information on student progress.

TWO demountable classrooms have been destroyed in an arson attack on a secondary school in Melbourne's northwest.

Firefighters called to the blaze at Keilor Downs Secondary College about 2.15am (AEDT) managed to bring it under control quickly to prevent the fire spreading, a Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) spokesman said.

The classrooms were located at the end of a row of 10 portables.

Today I will talk about preparing children to succeed by raising standards in our schools.

I am yet to meet a parent who does not want their child to succeed in school to the very best of their ability, so they can succeed in life.

Parents are concerned about standards in our schools.

They don’t want a revolution.

They want their children to have access to a quality education.

The Australian Government is funding 25 Australian Technical Colleges across Australia in areas where there are skills needs, a high youth population and a strong industry base. These Colleges cater for Years 11 and 12 students who wish to study for their Year 12 certificate and start an apprenticeship whilst still at school (Australian School-based Apprenticeship).
